A cremated remains record is created for each separate portion of ash handled by the organisation. CR Tasks are used to track the movement of cremated remains around the facility and to record collection or memorialisation of the cremated remains.
Fit within the Person Hierarchy
The cremated remains record is a sub-set of the deceased person. Multiple CR records can be created for the deceased if the ash is divided into multiple containers, and to record multiple ash distribution scenarios. For example, divided ashes where a portion is placed into a grave and a portion is collected by the family.
The CR Locations are a permanent record of cremated remains movements between internal facilities and to eventual placement, scatter or collection.
Cremated Remains Reference
The CR reference number reflects the deceased original reference number with a CR- prefix.
If ashes are divided, each new portion is marked with an alpha suffix (e.g. A, B, C).
