Cemetery Locations

To begin, we will start from the top of the hierarchical structure.

A site record should be created for every cemetery site operated by the parent organisation.

Within byondpro, the Territory field lists all the possible sites within your cemetery.

In our example, South East Regional Cemeteries exists as a territory with several sites listed below it, such as Highview Remembrance Park.

South East Regional Cemeteries is the Parent Organisation, potentially the cemetery trust and likely has no physical site.

All the sites below South East Regional Cemeteries belong to the parent organisation and would likely have a physical address and be a transacting site.

Cemetery Locations

Let’s take a look at the example : Clearview Cemetery & Mausolea.

Clearview would have its own Site record in byondpro and would need to be linked to a singular Territory, likely of a similar name such as Clearview.

Cemetery sites require a code for the site and Clearview has been provided with a site code of (CVM).

Within Clearview, there are the Areas of

Let’s look closer into the Area of the Commemoration Walls.

The area will be assigned its own area code, which consists of the site code of CVM for Clearview and then the area code, which we will assign as COMW.

In the Commemoration Walls area, there are two sub areas of North and South

These have been provided a code, which consists of CVM for the site, COMW for the area and NTH & STH for the sub area.

There are 8 rows on the north and south side of these walls, marked A through H, on the walls themselves.

These rows would be classified under the Sub Area 2 in byondpro.

So, we now have CVM for the Site, COMW for the Area, NTH for the North Sub-Area and D for Row D, classified as Sub-Area 2 in byondpro.

In each row, there are 20 individual locations for cremated remains.

Each individual location would need to be marked in byondpro with its own location record to make it available for sale.

Noella’s cremated remains therefore would have a location record code in byondpro of CVM-COMW-NTH-D-01.

Let’s take a look at another example, this time in the Chinese Gardens Area of Clearview.

In this example, we will show how the Sub-Area 3 looks as well.

Remember, the Site code for Clearview was CVM.

The Area code for the Chinese Gardens is CVM-CHG.

There are 3 Sub Areas of the Chinese Gardens :

The Companion Crypts Sub-Area would have a code of CVM-CHG-CC.

In the Companion Crypts sub-area, there are two Sub-Areas of East and West, East being assigned a code of CVM-CHG-CC-EST and West a code of CVM-CHG-CC-WST.

On each wall, there are 4 rows of crypts, with Sub Area 3 being 1, 2, 3, and 4 for each of the rows.

Finally, the Location code for this particular location would be CVM-CHG-CC-WST-3-01, as it is the first crypt in Row 3.
