Batch Location Update Tool
The Batch Location Update tool allows the user to update attributes of locations in bulk, such as floral policies or right of interment item codes used to sell the locations.
Go to My CRM > Batch Location Updates.
You will be taken to a screen that allows you to search for the locations you will be changing.
Use the applicable fields to complete your search.
Once the fields are completed, press Find on the right-hand side of the page.
All locations which meet your search criteria will display below.
Should the results provide the expected list of location records, press the Confirm Selection button on the right-hand side of the page.
Review the records to determine which records will be included and excluded.
A tick under the Included header, in line with the location record, indicates the locations record will be included on your list.
To exclude a record, simply, untick the record.
Alternatively, use the Include All or Exclude All buttons on the right-hand side of the page to tick or untick all the records in the list.
Once you have confirmed the locations which will be updated, select the fields to update in the Location Update Commit section.
A wide variety of location attributes can be updated, as can be seen in the below image.
In our example, we will be updating the Floral Policy and the ROI Location Item on our selected locations.
The following fields are available to update in the batch process:
These fields are also visible on the
location summary. Where the batch location update is processed to update one or more of these fields, the corresponding fields will update on the location record.
When completed, press Confirm Selection on the right-hand side of the page.
A pop-up window will display which confirms the fields to be updated.
Press Close on the pop-up window.
Should no further changes be required, press Update Locations on the right-hand side of the page.
If there are a few locations requiring updating, a pop-up window will display the progress of the update.
Once updated, the pop-up window will confirm how many locations have been updated.
Press Close on the pop-up window.
If you were to then visit the individual locations, the selected locations will now have the fields updated.
The Tracking tab of the locations will have been updated to reflect this change.
