The Memorial Order inscriptions feature can be used when preparing orders for submission to suppliers to capture full text details, and for approval by families of the wording and spelling.
When the memorial item code is selected, the number of inscription lines is inserted that corresponds with the Memorial Type configuration. This can include a separate section to record inscriptions for item attachments.
The Memorial type also controls the number of characters that are permitted by inscription line style. When each inscription line is saved, the number of characters is validated and a system message displays if the permitted length is exceeded; the text is truncated and the entry is not saved, pending changes.
To edit the inscription wording, select the line number to open the inscription entry screen in a separate window.

Insert New Line To
Function to insert a line within existing inscription line entries. User indicates which new blank line number is required, and entry lines following are pushed down.
System will not allow total number of lines to exceed configuration permitted for the memorial item; this can lead to loss of text entry on the last line item.
Remove Line
Function to remove a line within existing inscription line entries. User indicates which line number is not required, and entry lines following are pushed up.
Save
Saves the inscription entry, including validation of number of permitted characters
Cancel
Closes the inscription entry window without saving changes
