CR Number Sequences

 
UPDATED: October 2023*
This update REPLACES any logic for CR numbering previously managed via the Reference Number entries: CRRef or CRRef:Foreign
Same logic applies to numbering from NEW cremated remains screen access from NEW menu or S&B/Cremated Remains tab header
 
This configuration option allows the system administrator to define how Cremated Remains are to be numbered:
N:  matched with deceased Reference number  [default]
Y:  * uses the next number stored on the Cremation Reference Number table, taking into account site, foreign remains and cremation number type

EXISTING OPTIONS to assign the next cremation number:
N: use Person Reference number, with "CR-" prefix
Y: use CRRef value in the Reference Number table, linked to Site/Territory
     use CRRef:Foreign in the Reference Number table, linked to Site/Territory AND Foreign CRs (crem_foreign) = Y

This configuration determines how the cremation numbering system will be applied.
N:  uses the (deceased) person Reference Number, with a "CR-" prefix
Y:  uses the next number stored on the Cremation Reference Number table, taking into account Site, Foreign remains and Cremation Number type
