This is a feature update on AR receipts in Sage 300. Where a prior date is entered for a receipt in byondpro, the Sage 300 A/R Receipt Batch will reflect this date in the Batch Date, Deposit Date, Receipt Date & Posting Date.
Applicable to both the Receipt function on the sales order header, and also the New Receipt option on the S&B Receipts tab if an invoice is specified. Once the invoice is selected, if balance owing is $0, the Save button is greyed out to prevent the receipt being processed and issues with matching payments in your ERP.
There is a new custom configuration to supress the Create Sales Receipt button on the Booking Summary.
This prevents users from creating “unapplied” customer payments via the Receipts tab. It restricts users to creating sales receipts only in the context of a sales invoice.
For integrated Sage 300 customers, functionality to process a refund batch in Sage 300 and then write back against the corresponding byondpro sales & booking records.
From a processing and screen perspective, the Accounts Receivable Refund Write Back functions like the AR Receipt Writeback. Users can create a Refund batch in Sage 300 against credit notes (not overpayments). Then by running the refund write back, it creates a refund in byondpro (a negative receipt) against the original Sales & Booking/Credit Note, and thereby shows customer service staff that the credit transaction was closed out by the Finance team.
When invoicing, the pop-up message that warns if a payment schedule has not been created prior to invoicing has been removed. Reducing the number of clicks required for the invoice creation process.
This feature provides detailed tracking of salesperson commissions by invoice and cemetery location.
In a Sage 300 integrated system, it includes an option to record the value of the commission earned as a cost of sale and passes journals to an accruals account on the balance sheet as part of the AR invoice/credit journals.
