Garden Plants Records

Purpose
The Garden Plants register is designed to assist the cemetery horticulturists maintain a listing of all their significant trees and plants in the grounds.  They can record growing and flowering habits of the different species, performance results and capture photographs for future reference.

A detailed record can be created of each specific planting in the grounds. For example against significant trees, users can capture growth heights and span information, record annual safety checks and trimming programs. For roses and shrubs that play an important role not only in beautifying the grounds but also in providing families with memorialisation options. The plants can be associated back to a specific memorial location in the grounds. The sale of a position in a rose bed can be linked to the type of rose, with photos in full summer flower that helps families visualise their tribute even in the depths of winter.

The Garden Plants register helps with gardening activity planning like pruning and replacement programs, by giving the supervisor the ability to flag plants requiring maintenance, and produce job lists for their outdoors team.

The register is fully integrated with Works Request and Case management systems, so customer feedback and concerns can be effectively managed. This assists in building a profile of plant species and performance over time.
