The original record has the original CR number.

 

 

 

The next cremated remains record /s  will have the original CR number with an A, B, etc

 

 

 

The third cremated remains record /s will have the CR number of sub-portion they were divided from with an A, B, etc.

 

In this example, this record was divided from sub-portion CR-2500009B.
