CR Task Instructions
Purpose
Cremated Remains tasks are used to record the movement of CRs through the cemetery facilities. Each CR task creates a permanent CR location record that allows staff to track the movement of the CRs retrospectively. This is separate to the interment record indicating the current whereabouts of the ashes.
Staff can prepare CR tasks as a means of issuing instructions to the crematorium and operations teams. CR tasks create “to do” tasks in the assigned individual’s or team’s CRM calendar.
CR Instructions
CR Instructions specify the type of action required or recently performed on a CR record. Many of the CR Instructions include complex record changes when completed, e.g. Scatter by Disestablishment and Cancel by Disestablishment will clear the source memorial location record of all values relating to the previous sale of the location.
The CR Instructions influence the CR expiry date recorded against the CR record. The expiry date is used to track the length of time CRs are held, assisting with the management of CRs and maintaining contact with the families or funeral directors regarding collection or memorialisation.
The CR Instruction sets the default CR task due date, indicating the timeframe in which the task is to be completed. The task due date can be over-ridden for urgent requests. This assists the Crematorium and Operations teams in prioritising their workloads.
