August 2023 - new feature Area , Area S1, Area S2 and Area S3 screens are used to create Areas under each site. This functionality will fix the character length for each Area code. All other validation will remain the same.
This affects the following features of byondpro: Create Single Location, Create Multiple Location, Batch Location Code Change.
Configurations need to be set up
Set up a new configuration to configure the character length required by the user.
Administration -> Cemetery System Setup -> Custom Configuration -> New
Name : AreaCodeCharacterlength
Description: Define the last segment character length for Area, Area S1, Area S2 and Area S3 code segments
Where the # in brackets defines the number of characters allowed for that segment of the location code.
Details: This will allow the user to fix the character length for each segment of the location code: SITE - Area - AreaS1 - Area S2 - Area S3.
Character length should be between 0-8. If the character length is set to zero (0), no fixed length applies and the user can enter up to 8 characters, when creating new location codes.
E.g: Value: Area Code (8) | Area S1 Code (0) | Area S2 Code (0) | Area S3 Code (0)
Area segment has a fixed length of 8 characters; Area S1,S2,S3 can be entered between 1-8 characters
HGH-AA for Section AA (Area) would save as HGH-000000AA
When saved, the Area code will include prefix 0's to match the configured character code length.
Use with caution: If the character length is set more than 8 characters the character length is limited to 8 characters. The total length of the Area code, Area S1 code, Area S2 code and Area S3 code fields needs to be taken into consideration.
Default Value: - Area Code (0)| Area S1 Code (0)| Area S2 Code (0)| Area S3 Code (0)
Above functionality will take effect for following fields. All other validation will remain the same.
Area Code (Site> Area> Area Code)
Area S1 Code (Site> Area> Area S1> Area S1 Code)
Area S2 Code (Site> Area> Area S1> Area S2> Area S2 Code)
Area S3 Code (Site> Area> Area S1> Area S2> Area S3> Area S3 Code)
